Missing Filter?

Jan 8, 2010 at 2:47 PM

Hi Mark -

I have seen in previous discussions that you mentioned that there is a BuiltInFilter called PopulatePtrFieldsWithDefaults. I see the implemtation in the source code but when I try and invoke the method, it does not show up. What I mean by showing up is that it is not available. Maybe it is a implementation issue, But this is exactly what I am trying to do.

var stdf = new StdfFile(this.FileName);

stdf.AddFilter(BuiltInFilters.PopulatePtrFieldsWithDefaults);  // 'LinqToStdf.BuiltInFilters' does not contain a definition for pulatePtrFieldsWithDefaults'

Could you check this out and give me a hand?

Hmmmm.  Interesting.  Perhaps this got added after after the currently released bits.  I'll take a look.  You could always build from the sources to get it, or copy the code for the filter to your own project.

Thank Mark,

That is exactly what I did.

I just recompiled the source and referenced the new build. I also added a copy of the default TestText into each record as well.

I just wanted to make note of it to you.

Thanks again!
